Mile 1231:
Left Madison this morning in the rain. When it rains outside, that's a nice time to tour indoors. We stopped at House on the Rock in Spring Green, Wisconsin. It is a house built by eccentric Alex Jordan on a spire of rock with numerous cavernous rooms and passage ways.

Infinity room in the house. The walkway, windows, and ceiling get smaller
the further out the room goes, giving the appearance of infinity. |

The house has the largest carousel in the world.
This picture does not do it justice--in reality, it is simply overwhelming! |
