We left Rapid City this morning and road through the Black Hills, arriving at Mt. Rushmore. Took lots of pictures of the sculpture:

After Mt. Rushmore, we took the long trip to Jackson Hole, WY. Five hundred miles of driving today! The landscape changed dramatically as we went through the prairies, to the foothills, to the Tetons of Wyoming. There were many interesting rock formations along the way:
We crossed the Continental Divide at Togwotee Pass -- 9584 ft. elevation. The temperature dropped from 88 degrees in the approach to the mountains to 64 degrees at the top.
