In the Badlands

Mile 2134:

We left Sioux Falls this morning.  A beautiful, crisp, fall-like morning.  Our first stop was Mitchell, SD, to visit the Corn Palace!  They make these incredible murals out of ears of corn.  It was like the Tournament of Roses parade floats for corn!  They were in the process of changing murals for the next season.

One of the murals on the outside of the Corn Palace.
There were also numerous murals on the inside.

Mile 2335:

Then it was off to the Badlands.  The views were spectacular--especially on a beautifully clear day like today.  Needless to say, I couldn't just stop with one picture here.

Just a reminder of the wildlife here!
Photos do not adequately capture the landscape.  I took some panoramic shots to try to convey what I saw.  Some of the many "gorge-ous" views in the Badlands:

Mile 2378:

Leaving the Badlands, we went on the famous tourist destination--Wall Drug Store in Wall, SD.
